ANIMAL CARE
Working Towards a Better Tomorrow
Village Heights is full of street dogs and cats. You cannot cross the road without seeing one. They do not get the attention they need. Most of them are starved to the bones, and have not had a proper meal for days, or even weeks. A lot of them suffer from injuries from abuse or illnesses and do not get the help they need. Needless to say, the spread of animal lice is also an enormous problem.
It is heartbreaking to see the animals suffer knowing that the people in the township do not have the necessary resources to help them.
Luckily, Projects Abroad works together with the Cape of Good Hope SPCA. The SPCA is a registered non-profit organization which helps animals in need and prevents animal cruelty. In addition to the clinic headquarters in Grassy Park, Cape Town, the SPCA offers 3 mobile clinics to provide primary veterinary care to those most in need.
So we, the Community Township Volunteers, will try to take action and get the SPCA in at least once a week to supply the animals with the basics like vaccination, general surgery or medication. In order that the township citizens can bring injured and sick animals, so we can get them back on track.
Furthermore, we try to collect money to provide the animals with food on a regular basis. Having a healthier body structure, the animals will develop resistance to small injuries and illnesses and become more insensible. Their general health level is increasing in favor of their life expectancy.
We will make sure that your money flows directly to the well-being of the animals.
In love of the animals, we thank you with all our heart!
